Billie has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Texas Woman’s University and my Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Amberton University.  She specializes in working with couples, addictions, trauma, depression, and anxiety. She has significant training in experiential approaches, such as psychodrama and anger management.

As a therapist, she has five levels of specialized training in Emotional Transformation Therapy (ETT) under Dr. Stephen Vazquez, the modality developer. This modality is used in individual therapy sessions to quickly manage symptoms of withdrawal from alcohol and/or drugs, decrease PTSD symptoms, as well as alleviate symptoms associated with depression and anxiety. Billie’s completion of the “Trauma Model Certification” training gives a true understanding of the correlation between trauma, addiction, and mental health.  She is passionate about healing the underlying trauma that drives the core shame and self-destructive patterns.

In addition, Billie is a PACT (Psychobiological Approach to Couple’s Therapy) trained therapist who uses this teaching to encourage and promote secure functioning relationships within couples.

She is a true native of Texas and has been married for 28 years to a man she has known since the third grade. They have two sons, a daughter, a son-in-law, a daughter-in-law, and a petite Australian Labradoodle named Jubilee. Billie enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, boating, and scrapbooking in her free time.
